This term, our PSHE Growing and Changing Unit covers the DfE statutory RSHE requirements listed within the Changing Adolescent Body. We deliver a spiral curriculum, where content is introduced in the early years; for example, the difference between girls' and boys' bodies, and the correct words for external body parts is covered. Later children learn about how and why bodies change. Lesson content grows in complexity and maturity, in line with children's development, supporting them every step of the way. Attached is the planned learning journey from Early years through to Year 6.
If you would like to see any of the material we use in class, or have any concerns about the PSHE curriculum, please make an appointment to see me, via the school office.

The campaign celebrates the hard work of staff in early years, schools, and colleges across the UK. Open year-round, it encourages everyone in the UK to recognise the impact that the education community has in shaping the futures of our young people. National Thank a Teacher Day is an annual call to action, and these resources are designed to help everyone get involved and build excitement. Share the campaign with your networks and invite them to send a free personalised e-card to a teacher, support staff member, or education team who has made a difference. You can help ensure as many teachers and support staff as possible feel recognised and appreciated on National Thank a Teacher Day.

Religious Buildings visits
Hunters Hall Primary School
British Values are a key aspect of our school ethos - (see below)
as part of respect, tolerance and understanding, and our statutory Religious Education curriculum .
Children at Hunters Hall experience the following places of worship: Church, Mandir Temple, Gurdwara, Mosque, Synagogue and St Paul's Cathedral.
This is compulsory as it supports the children's learning of the religion.
Democracy: The belief in freedom and equality, where every individual has a voice. Citizens are able to influence decision-making through active participation, voting, and the democratic process.
The Rule of Law: The principle that no one is above the law, including those who govern. Laws are essential for keeping citizens safe, ensuring fairness, and protecting individuals from harm.
Individual Liberty: The freedom of individuals to make their own choices, express their opinions, and pursue their personal goals without fear, provided they do not infringe on the rights of others.
Mutual Respect: Treating others with dignity and kindness while valuing diversity. It involves recognizing that everyone has the right to their own beliefs and opinions, even if they differ from your own.
Tolerance of Faith and Beliefs: The acceptance and understanding of different cultures, religions, and traditions, as well as respect for those who hold no religious beliefs.

Dear all,
This week, we received the deeply distressing and upsetting news that Mrs Baker passed away.
Mrs Baker was a loyal and dedicated member of the Hunters Hall team having worked with many children and staff.
Her death has hit us all as you can imagine.
Therefore to honour her memory and allow for my team to grieve yet celebrate her life. The school will close at 1:15pm on the afternoon of her funeral on Friday 12th June 2026.
Children will need to be collected from their dismissal point at 1:15pm on the 12th June.
I apologise for any inconvenience but hope that you understand and can support us during this sad time.
